On April 24th Walt Disney School had the opportunity to participate in the Wyland Foundation Clean Water Mobile Center, a 1,000 sq. ft. Learning exhibition on wheels. The mobile center features a 40-person movie theater, computer model simulations, a running river, and models the effects of rain falling over a city landscape.

Mrs. Walton hosted Walt Disney Elementary School's 23rd annual Read-In event on Thursday, April 26th.

Eighteen outstanding scholars from all nine District schools participated in the annual Magnolia School District Spelling Bee took place on Wednesday, January 31. The two top spellers from each school participated in this exciting competition at the Juliette Low School of the Arts, coordinated by Principal Dr. Debra Von Sprecken.

In January 2017, Magnolia Superintendent Dr. Frank Donavan and the Board of Trustees recommended moving the District in a renewable energy, greener direction. The District partnered with ENGIE, formerly known as OpTerra Energy Services. As a result of this partnership, a comprehensive energy plan was developed that will generate $14.1 million dollars in net savings for the District over the next 30 years.
